Cookies and local storage
Strictly necessary data supports the session and security. Optional analytics is enabled only after an explicit choice.
1. Strictly necessary data
- Associate a PDF with the current owner-scoped session.
- Protect actions against request forgery and retain session/security state.
- Store the analytics choice in localStorage.
2. Google Analytics
GA4 loads only after consent. Advertising storage, Google Signals, advertising personalisation and advertising user-data transfer remain disabled.
PDF content, filename, OCR text, form values, password, document ID and signed URL are not sent. The network request still exposes browser and IP information to Google, so it occurs only after consent.
3. Retention and changing your choice
GA cookies may remain for the period stated by Google, typically no more than two years. The allow/deny choice remains locally until changed or site data is cleared.
Cookie settings can withdraw consent. Further sending stops and available `_ga` and `_ga_*` cookies are removed from the browser.
4. Language
Language is selected through the URL and is not detected automatically from IP or browser locale. Language selection is not country selection.
