Which files and sizes are supported?
Regular PDF uploads accept up to 50 MB. Image assembly accepts 1–20 JPG/PNG files, up to 5 MB each and 20 MB total.
What should I do with an encrypted PDF?
Enter the known password in the separate prompt. It is used only at the validation boundary and is not stored in the Job payload. Unknown passwords are not recovered.
Why is a damaged PDF rejected?
Save the document again in a trusted PDF viewer and upload the new copy. If it still fails, contact support with the correlation ID but without attaching the PDF.
Processing
Queue, progress, cancellation, retry and result lifetime.
What do queue and progress mean?
After validation the job enters the local queue. The UI shows its stage and percentage. Do not start a duplicate while the current job is changing state.
How do I cancel processing?
Choose Cancel. No existing result is replaced and the source stays unchanged. Start a separate job for another attempt.
What if the result has expired?
An expired result URL cannot be restored. Repeat the operation if the session is active; otherwise upload the source again.
Editor
Page objects, text modes, autosave and separate output.
How does new text differ from editing existing text?
New text creates an overlay. Existing-text edit changes only a supported source fragment after preflight. OCR patch changes the recognized layer and requires a mask when visible text changes.
How does autosave work?
Project state is saved by revision. On conflict, the UI asks you to load the latest state instead of silently overwriting it.
Does the editor change the source file?
No. Export creates a separate result artifact. The source PDF remains immutable and follows session deletion rules.
OCR
Scans, mixed pages, languages and manual review.
How does OCR work?
Tesseract runs on our server for Russian and English. Pages with digital text keep their existing layer; scanned and mixed pages are handled separately.
What does confidence mean?
It is a recognition confidence estimate, not a correctness guarantee. Words below the threshold enter manual review.
How do I correct an OCR error?
Open review, compare the word with the page image and correct only the confirmed fragment. Export warns if review remains incomplete.
PDF security
Passwords, permissions, redaction and factual reporting.
What does password protection actually provide?
A password encrypts the copy with AES-256. Print and copy restrictions are enforced by the viewer; they are not DRM or absolute extraction protection.
How is redaction different from a black rectangle?
An overlay rectangle only covers the visible area. Real redaction rebuilds every page from sanitized rasters and does not copy source streams, searchable text, forms, links, attachments or metadata.
Does a security report guarantee that a PDF is safe?
No. It reports verified facts about JavaScript, actions, forms, attachments, metadata, signatures and encryption; it is not a safety certificate.
Storage and deletion
Inactivity, hard maximum, manual deletion and cleanup.
When does a guest session end?
An inactive guest session ends after 15 minutes and has a two-hour hard maximum. A short download grace allows an already-started download to finish.
What happens after manual deletion?
Document access is closed immediately. Background physical storage cleanup completes within 15 minutes. Production backups are not in use because public production is still closed.
Are documents saved in my account?
No. There is currently no permanent user document library. Sources and results belong only to the temporary session.
