PDF privacy and temporary processing

How temporary PDF processing works, why the service does not create a permanent file library, and when sources and results are deleted.

When to use it

How temporary PDF processing works, why the service does not create a permanent file library, and when sources and results are deleted. The situations below show when this guide can help you choose the right workflow and avoid unnecessary processing.

  • You want to understand the rules before uploading a PDF.
  • You need to decide whether a temporary server session fits your document.

How it works

This guide divides the topic into three consecutive stages: local validation, temporary session, end and cleanup. Follow them in order to understand the result and the points that require manual review.

  1. 01Local validationFormat, size, password and scanner checks run before a document is created.
  2. 02Temporary sessionSource and result access stays inside the current owner session boundary.
  3. 03End and cleanupTimeout, hard maximum or manual deletion closes access, then storage cleanup runs in the background.

What changes

Before starting, identify which parts of the document will change and which will remain intact. The list below describes changes in the output copy rather than hidden modifications to the source file.

  • We do not keep your files in a permanent library: an operation uses a temporary source and creates a separate result.
  • PDFs are not sent to third-party processor services or used for model training.
  • Technical logs use identifiers and error codes, not filenames or document text.

What can be lost

Some operations affect more than the visible page and can change text layers, forms, links or signatures. This list helps you decide whether the separate output copy is suitable for the next stage of your work.

  • After the session ends, source and result files cannot be recovered through the old link.
  • Guest mode does not create a permanent document library or history.

Limitations

Limitations describe the current implementation boundary and the cases that require additional review. Check them before uploading, especially when a document is complex, protected or contains important structure.

  • The service accepts real documents; temporary sessions and the published limits apply.
  • Immediate physical deletion is not promised: cleanup can take up to 15 minutes.
  • Operational backups do not include uploaded PDFs or generated results.
